COMRADES 100km MARATHON - Sunday 31st May 2015

On 31st June 2015 Simon Heale joined 18,000 other crazies for the second time to run the greatest ultra-marathon, The Comrades Marathon. It is a 56 mile run from Pietermaritzburg to Durban, South Africa. "The story behind Comrades is true inspiration, as are the people of Haringey Shed for whom I am undertaking the 56 miles". So far Simon has raised over £8,000.

Of the the 2015 event Simon said, "It was the hardest thing I've done, it was incredibly hot and with hills that demanded total respect and lots of walking, which I did gladly. I finished in 11:08 which was well within the cut off time, and actually felt ok, glad to have survived intactI have to thank everyone for the support you have given to me and for Haringey Shed"

The funds raised will be used to provide summer holiday performing arts activities for young people of Haringey
