Kidstime workshops for children and their families aim to help overcome fears and stigma associated with mental illness, in a friendly, supportive and fun environment. Workshops assist families where a parent may be affected by mental ill health. Kidstime is for all the family - parents, carers, children and young people from 4-18yrs – offering support by:

  • Helping children and young adults make sense of what has happened to their parents in a safe and understandable way
  • Helping parents to cope with being a parent when stressed by mental health problems
  • Helping families talk together so that they can better find solutions

The aim of the workshops is to….

  • Reduce feelings of isolation
  • Increase confidence by providing a safe environment
  • Provide information and share experiences
  • Answer questions and explore myths bout mental ill health

Workshops take place once a month, in the early evenings
